Walk
by PamFord Davis

I'm a country girl, from the top of my head to tips of toes, I prefer rural locales. In my day, Mycenae had no traffic light; we looked both ways before crossing Green Lakes Road or the intersection of Route 5.

When a pedestrian in a city and needing to cross-busy intersections, I follow the directions displayed on flashing neon street signs, waiting for the message to 'Walk.'

What if I'm needing to get from one side of the city street to the other and there are no crossing signs or traffic lights? It is a time for being alert. I'm always less fearful if my husband is at my side to guide me across.

My heavenly Father directs my steps

"Let me experience Your faithful love in the morning, for I trust in You. Reveal to me the way I should go, because I long for You (Psalm 143:8 HCS)."
