A Power Nap
by PamFord Davis

When napping during my formative years, or thereafter, I had never considered the futuristic label of 'power naps.' Some never take a nap during the day; I'm fatigued when I miss mine. My son and grandson both take power-naps. Not afforded naps at high noon, 'fiveish' is their preferred time.

Jesus sought out a spot for a power nap

"And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, 'Master, carest thou not that we perish?' And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, 'Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm (Mark 4:37-39 KJV)."

I nap to receive power to perform duties.

Jesus, as deity, napped before displaying his power to perform miracles!
