HOPE
by Maurice A. Williams Dear Lord, I hear Your words from far away, So promising, so generous with grace. Such hope You give our fallen human race, You send to us a holy, perfect ray Of strength that guides us on our way, Preparing us to see You face-to-face, Reshaping us so that, in every place, Your grace will keep us safe each day. Dear Lord, we raise our arms with one accord In thankfulness for what we sought: Safe harbor. Yes! You sheltered us from strife, So generous a love, that You have poured Your blood to wash away our sins and brought Into our souls Your everlasting life. Maurice A.
