The Brokenhearted
by PamFord Davis I won't rehash specifics of who, what, where or when. It is enough to reveal that I have been brokenhearted. We all have our stories, some more traumatic and tragic but all were painful. The combination of broken-hearted says it all. At the time, the person does not know if they will survive the sorrow. Such idioms as 'Time heals all wounds' fall upon deaf ears. Time may diminish the memories but God, 'not time,' is our healer. "He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds (Psalms 147:3 NAS)." The LORD is close at hand. We need only to call out His name in prayer "The LORD is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalms 34:18 NAS)."
