Mother of Two Adopts Soldiers for MotherĂ¢s Day

Rachels son, Raymond, and her daughter, Ramona, loved their mother very much.

Rachel and her husband, Richard, had raised their son and daughter to love, honor and respect their parents, as well as the Sovereign Lord.

Ramona and Raymond were determined to always remember Mothers Day. On a daily basis, Ramona called her mother to say, Hi, Mom. I love you. Happy Mothers Day.

Rachel asked, Why do you wish me Happy Mothers Day every day of the year?

Ramona always replied, Youre the worlds best mother every day of the year. I tell you that because I always want you to remember how much I love you.

Raymond was more into technology than Ramona, so he preferred texting and emailing. Each morning, he sent a text message, Good morning, Mom. I hope you have a blessed day today.

Every afternoon, Raymond sent this email message, May your health be the best, and may you always be blessed.

Rachel appreciated her son and daughter so much that she prepared a tasty chicken dinner for them every Sunday. Your chicken is so juicy! Raymond bragged.

I can never get too much of your chicken! Ramona declared.

Rachel always prepared enough chicken for a small army, so she took the leftovers to the soldiers who were stationed at a tiny military base near her house. Capt. Rick was always happy to see Rachel enter his office. Good morning, Rachel, he smiled. I see youve been busy again cooking chicken. My men are always thrilled to get home-cooked food. Ill call for Sgt. Randy to take the food to the men. He says the food you bring always brightens their day and boosts their patriotism.

A few moments later, Sgt. Randy came into the room, followed by Corporal Rondal and Private Robert. The trio picked up the food, which they carried to the mess hall. Rachels reputation as a cook was known to everyone at the base, so the mess hall quickly filled with hungry soldiers.

Before serving the food to the soldiers, Rachel asked the Lord to bless the food. She sat down and ate with the soldiers. She then wanted to make an announcement. Gentlemen, Rachel said, I have one son and one daughter. Ive always wanted a large family, so I have unofficially decided to adopt all of you.

All I ask is for each of you to send me a text message each day wishing me a happy Mothers Day.

Everyone shouted in unison, You got it, Mom! You got it!
