I Wait
by PamFord Davis

Scenarios:

It's 3pm, the man promised to be at my house before noon to set up satellite service. He has not arrived.

The email message said that the seller had shipped my order. I could expect delivery in three-seven business days. I wonder which seven they referred to.

My overworked husband said he'd clear clutter as soon as he could find the time. Maybe it is time to aid him in the search of time.

In faith, I pray and wait for the Father to answer. My faith falters...

I need to learn from delays.

"Delayed hope makes the heart sick, but fulfilled desire is a tree of life (Proverbs 13:12 HCS)."

I wonder Who coined the phrase, "I want patience and I want it now?"

Admittedly, that is how I perceive delays. I'm in need of an attitude adjustment.

"I wait for the LORD; I wait, and put my hope in His word (Psalm 130:5-6 HCS)."
