To Any Person Who Has Been Hurt Deeply By A Woman Who Is Called Mother
by Tesse Wilson Many can boast of their mother's love This kind of love and care which mothers should give is celebrated everywhere But to you Precious One, you have never experienced this type of love You never experienced a mother's loving care, her warm touch and smile Your mother never played that role in your life A good mother usually tries to protect her children from harm But your mother was the one harming you A good mother reassures you that she will always love and be there for you But your mother hurt, neglected or abandoned you So as time went by you just bottle up your feelings You kept everything inside You compared yourself with others wondering if something was wrong with 'me' How come their mother loves them and my mother does not love me You told yourself I must not trust anyone for I can only depend on me Yet as a child you no had resources and very little strength to defend and care for yourself The way some people treated (badly) you You began to treat yourself Precious One, You did not enjoy your childhood Your life was filled with so many fears and adult concerns You felt no one really cared Many could help but did not Many chose not to get involved Some closed their eyes and looked away Some shut their ears to your cry Some did not believe you; they said a mother will never hurt her child In this they closed their hearts to a vulnerable child Neglected, Abused, Rejected, Unloved Children Neglected, Abused, Rejected, Unloved as children now adults God loves you! Jesus is God's way of demonstrating His love for you May be your mother abused you, perhaps she left you, even worse she turned a blind eye to the sexual abuse being perpetrated on you, or she was right there with you but she neglected you Precious One, Jesus paid the price for all the evil that was done to you He died for the sins of the world So He asks us to pray for and forgive those who hurt us He gives His Spirit to those who accept him His Spirits enables us to forgive For forgiveness is necessary for complete healing God is not unjust in asking this of us; those who hurt you God will forgive them if they repent Once they repent they may still face the consequences of their actions but not eternal damnation Jesus came to bind up broken hearts and heal wounds Whether you were wounded by words, lack of love, care and affection Wounded by physical and sexual abuse Whatever crimes have been committed against you by anyone, including your mother Jesus, The Great Physician wants to heal you Would you be made whole? It is time to start the healing process Cry out to God Give Him your painful past and hurtful memories Anger, resentment and bitterness Let Him unshackle you from that painful past Let Him touch and heal your wounded heart Break down the walls, the defenses around you Make haste into the loving arms of God His love is greater than a mother's love Let him nurture you Hear Him speak lovingly to you When your father and mother forsake you I will take you up Precious One, Let him take you up By Tesse Wilson All good gifts come from the Lord.
