Weak, I Am
by PamFord Davis

I'm not a 98-pound weakling; the poundage is wrong but the weakness is real. Physically, I have difficulty removing lids off jars; emotionally, I succumb to worry and spiritually I frequently fail to resist temptation. Weak I am, failure, I am not! Weakness is not always something to shun; instead, it is foundational to faith

Paul had something that he could not overcome or master. His Master used it to His glory.

"Concerning this, I pleaded with the Lord three times to take it away from me. But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.' Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may reside in me. So because of Christ, I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in catastrophes, in persecutions, and in pressures. For when I am weak, then I am strong (2 Corinthians 12:8-10 HCS)."

I am weak but I am not defeated

"I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13 HCS)."
