MY TRUE HERO.
by ROBIN BOSCH

"My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they [are] life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh." (Pro 4:20-22 KJV)

Most people whether ordinary men in the street, sports stars, academic achievers, film stars, explorers, writers, captains of industry, prime ministers or Kings have a person they admired and who became their hero. A person they looked up to, emulated and aspired to. That gave them the motivation, their goal and their vision. One who set the bar, for them to reach the stars.

They studied their attributes to find out what made them tick. They read autobiographies, pasted hero's pictures on their walls. Thought the world of them and dearly desired to meet them face to face.

They saw how they behaved and sacrificed, emulating techniques to help them reach their goals.

I too have a Hero, who ran the race of life. Who paid the price and gained the victory.
I read about His sacrifice, His Heroism and His life.

The more I ponder this wondrous Man, the more His nature flows, changing and keeping the Light before my eyes.

My Hero resides within my heart, giving me the desire to do what He requires.
I display Him on the walls of my mind, to effuse His precious fragrance and display the Pearl, "The Pearl of Great Price".

My Hero is Jesus, Savior of the human race, Captain of my soul.
Who never disappoints and never lets me down. Who loves without condition and will never let me go.
Who has written my name in His hands and said, "You belong to me, beloved of my heart."

My Hero who has promised, if I believe in Him, I'll meet Him face to face, one day in heaven, and only by His Grace.

This is My True Hero,
This is my True Friend.

I have been a believer in Christ for many years. It has only been in the last three or four years that I have received greater insight into the Grace of God. This has injected me with energy to tell others about the blessed "rest" we have in Christ. Grace is not a theology but is a Person-- Jesus.
