Least, But Not Last
by PamFord Davis

"You have cooties!"

I am likely dating myself with such slang; admittedly, I am a member of the Baby Boomer demographics. The above statement was unkind but then children can be very cruel. The child that was speaking wanted to keep the other at a distance. The shunned was an outcast.

There have always been outcasts in society; there still are. The LORD has a soft spot for the untouchables and needy; while others keep them at arm's length, He wraps them in His. The kindness given to them in God's behalf is commendable.

"And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me (Matthew 25:40 NKJ)."
