Pace Myself
by PamFord Davis

Are you a walker, jogger or treadmill exerciser? In my indoor regular exercise routines, I jog in-place. Wearing a pedometer, I keep track of my steps as a method of motivation. I write daily counts on my calendar and give myself imaginary thumbs up or down. When my numbers are down, I realize a need to pick up my pace.

Am I in need of new motivational methods in kingdom work? The gospel message never changes; yet, methods do. Whatever the methods of outreach or ministry, I must not grow weary; instead, the Holy Spirit compels me to pick up my pace. The time of Jesus' return draws near

" the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don't give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith (Ephesians 6:8b-10 HCS)."
