A Worthy Cause
by PamFord Davis

'Give to your favorite charity.'

Many funeral announcements end with a request for donations. The family suggests that friends donate to a worthy cause in lieu of flowers. As an example, if the deceased battled cancer, a donation to the American Cancer Society is appropriate. Each of us deals with trouble and varied issues that 'cause' deep concern.

God becomes personally involved.

"Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward. I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvelous things without number (Job 5:7-9 KJV)."
