Musical Instruments Discuss their Importance and Influence

Musical Instruments held a conference to discuss their importance and influence in the preaching of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Piano had convinced herself she was the most important instrument. I am the one on which pastors depend to help the services flow more smoothly, she remarked.

Organs opinion of himself was not dimmed by Pianos declaration. Your statement is only a reflection of your own ideas, Organ said. And when it comes to smooth, all the instruments know Im much smoother than you are.

Known by both Piano and Organ as PKB, Portable Keyboard wasnt impressed with either Organ or Piano. Im more technologically correct than the two of you put together, PKB bragged. More spiritually correct, too.

Trumpet exhibited the most humility among Musical Instruments. All you do is toot your own horn, Organ complained. Toot, toot, toot.

I know I may occasionally be a little off key, said Trumpet. But I do attempt to make every toot honor the Lord Jesus.

Guitar enjoyed his Christian music ministry, but the other instruments mistook his attitude as one of pride. You surely think more highly of yourself than you ought to think, opined Organ.

Yes, you participate in every service, said Piano.

Its not my fault! Guitar insisted. I cant help it if Guitar Player picks me up and works his magic on my strings. Besides, my purpose for living is to bring glory to King Jesus!

Because of his totally unique sound, Drum was the least favorite instrument. I must march to my own drumbeat and to no one elses, Drum protested. Sometimes, its a very lonely life, but its worth the loneliness to be able to make music for the Lord.

Trombone enjoyed playing Christmas music because of the joy of the Lord that welled up inside her while she was playing. The joy of the Lord, and only His joy, is my strength, she smiled. When it comes to importance and influence, I believe I am the least of all musical instruments.

Harmonica was the most comfortable when he was playing bluegrass gospel or country gospel music. Those genres are the lifeblood of Christian music, he said.

At the end of the conference, Musical Instruments voted on their most important instrument and most influential instrument. Trombone received the Most Important Instrument Award. All of us should recognize our strength comes from the Lord, said Musician, who played all the instruments.

Trumpet received the Most Influential Instrument Award. Humility is a very important virtue, said Musician.

With a hint of a smile, Musician observed, Each of you plays a crucial role in presenting the gospel of Christ. But please remember one important detail Without me, your voice would be completely silent!
