Righteousness and Justice
by PamFord Davis

'Attention, place your hand over your heart, pledge'

As you salute Old Glory on Independence Day, give God the glory.

"He will set up a banner for the nations (Isaiah 11:12a NKJ)."

Pray for our nation and its leaders.

"Wisdom rests in the heart of him who has understanding, But what is in the heart of fools is made known. Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:33-34 NKJ)."

God has everything under control.

"I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You (Job 42:2 NKJ)."

Fear not; the Lord of Hosts holds sway over national leaders and the populace.

"The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts. To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice (Proverbs 21:1-3 NKJ)."
