Childhood's Past
by Bob Valleau

Carefree days of childhood's past
Gone for now, not to last.
Only in our minds to see
Moments we call memories.

Swing me please forevermore
Hide and seek heretofore.
Summer's short, winter's nigh
Darkness dawns, I say goodbye.

I see a land, almost there
Children play without a care.
Let me go, let me be
A child again eternally.
