Undisturbed
by PamFord Davis

I am partial to newborn babies. The tiny bundles of joy depend on their parents and caregivers for meeting of all their basic needs. After receiving loving attention, babies rest easy, comfortable, and content. Eavesdrop in on a typical one-sided conversation

"Sweetie, are you ready for your bath? I have your favorite rubber ducky! See, the water is just right, not too cold or too hot. Look at the soap bubbles! Do they tickle your toes? Now, I'll lather your back. Doesn't that feel good?

Okay, bath time is over. I'm going to wrap you in your towel. There, all dry Now, I'll rub you with baby oil. You feel so soft and smell wonderful! Let Mama dress you in this clean diaper and pajamas. Done! Are you hungry?"

The mother and child bond as the baby nurses before naptime. Contented, the newborn sleeps undisturbed.

"Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content (1 Timothy 6:6-7 NKJ)."
