Comprehension Levels
by PamFord Davis

Teachers monitor comprehension levels of their students; I'm guessing many wonder how much of what they teach actually sinks in. Jesus was the Master teacher. He taught the word of His Father and performed miraculous healings.

"Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father. And they were all amazed at the majesty of God (Luke 9:42b-43a NKJ)."

Jesus seized the moment to put His disciples to the test. Did they comprehend His imminent betrayal, arrest, and death?

"Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men. But they did not understand this saying, and it was hidden from them so that they did not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this saying (Luke 9:44-45 NKJ)."
