I've Got Your Back
by PamFord Davis

A true friend has your back.

That sounds weird; I am thinking that idea came as a spin-off to the coined phrase of back stabber. While fickle friends sing your praises today, they could just as easily be slinging mud tomorrow. When counting my blessings, true friends rank high on my list.

Many of my friends keep me on their regular prayer lists. Standing upon the authority of God's word and understanding the reality of enemy attack, (Ephesians 6:10-16) they watch my back

"And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints (Ephesians 6:17-18 NKJ)."

I keep a prayer list. Many who read this may be among the names of family and cherished friends. 'I've got your back.'
