Teenage Girls Joyfully Awaiting Christ's Return

Caroline and her husband, Carroll, were determined to raise their daughters, Carol and Carla, to put the Lord first in every area of their lives.

"When you're here at home, you must always honor the Lord," said Carroll.

"And when you're in church, you must show respect for God and His house," Caroline remarked.

"When we go shopping, your best choice is to uplift the Lord Jesus," encouraged Carroll.

"When you walk our dog, Cutie, around the neighborhood, don't forget to praise the Lord while you're doing that task," Caroline smiled.

Both Carla and Carol worked very hard to please their parents. "When we obey mom and dad, we'll be showing them we love them," said Carla.

"We'll also be showing God we love Him," Carol said "And that's the most important thing."

Carol and Carla always tried to live righteous lives before God. "We must please our savior all the time," Carla said.

"That's right," Carla agreed. "Jesus did so much for us. He left the glory of heaven, came in a human body to a sin-cursed earth, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, was crucified on the Cross and shed His blood to redeem us from sin, was buried in the tomb and three days later arose from death."

"Now He sits at the right hand of the Father in glory and majesty," Carla observed.

"He's preparing mansions for us in heaven, and we will be with him forever!"

Occasionally, the sisters discussed those things they believed would be among heaven's most enjoyable blessings. "One of the best things is we will live forever and never have to be concerned about dying," Carla said. "Heaven will be such a wonderful place."

"I love to sing," said Carol. "I'm looking forward to praising the Lord with my voice for trillions of years."

"I don't like to cry," said Carla. "Sometimes I cry when I'm sad, and in Heaven God will wipe all ears from our eyes."

"It will be wonderful seeing all our grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who have already passed away."

"You're right, Carol," said Carla. "I miss all of them so much. It will be great to see them again."

Carol said she was looking forward to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. "I wonder what's going to be on the menu," she mused.

"I don't know," Carla replied. "I just hope we don't have any vegetables. I don't like veggies very much. I'm only 14 years old, but I've had enough veggies to last me 14 billion lifetimes and 30 eternities!"
