"Look at this bird's nest! There are eggs about to hatch!" Hailey shrieked, as she pointed at a tiny birds' nest nestled between two branches of a small birch tree. Everyone peered quietly into the tree. They could see the slow cracking and gentle swaying of all three eggs; then the eggs rocked back and forth faster and faster while the eggshell cracks got bigger and bigger. Everyone had their eyes fixed as three tiny beaks pushed their way through the cracked eggshells. Once their heads appeared, three baby birds stepped out into the world; kicking their old eggshells behind them. "Wow, you don't see things like that everyday," said Mrs. Williams. "Did I come out of an eggshell Mommy?....."
