Mercy Sakes
by PamFord Davis

'Mercy sakes, child, what were you thinking?' Though the wording in question seems outdated, I'm thinking mercy never is. It comes from the merciful, forgiving Father.

"Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God (Nehemiah 9:31 KJV),"

I cast myself on the compassionate, merciful LORD.

"And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner (Luke 18:13 KJV)."

Me, a sinner? Yes, and I made Jesus Lord and Savior. Have you?
