Are You Special?
by Annagail Lynes

"[In His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy" Ephesians 1:4 (AMP).

Think about this for a moment. God chose us. God picked us out for Himself in Christ. When did He do that? Before the foundation of the world.

God knew about you before you were ever born. He knew the plan, the purpose, He had for your life.

God knew what choices you would make with your life, what sins you would commit, and yet He still chose to create you.

He saw something special in you. Some sense of awesomeness that would contribute something to the world.

If you have accepted Christ, God no longer sees your filth, your sinful past. God only sees you wrapped in the Blood of His Son Jesus (II Corinthians 5:21). The blood that, according to the original Greek version of I John 1:7, is continually cleansing you.

We are not perfect nor can we ever be this side of Heaven. We are not holy in and of ourselves. We are only holy, saved, redeemed, justified and sanctified through Christ.

Yet God saw something in you that made Him want to create you, to choose you until Himself.

Think about that. Meditate on that today.

What is it that makes you unique? That makes you special? What is your message, your contribution, to this world?

Remember you were chosen by Almighty God to be a light to this dark worldand He's equipped you to be that light bearer through Christ.

Do you choose to accept that call? Or ignore it?
