Who Is Helping You?
by Annagail Lynes

My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. - Psalm 121:2

The next few days are going to be hectic for me. I am relocating to another state.

I have my plane ticket, but I have a whole lifetime of possessions to downsize.

I am doing it all on my own because I know that if I ask for help with my family and friends, they either can't help because of their own commitments or they make me feel guilty for asking.

Thank God, my help doesn't come from them. My help comes from the Lord.

He is my Strength, my Wisdom, my Portion, my Protection, my Patience, Everything I Need.

I've heard it say that God uses people. He does use people, but His people and in His timing.

Sometimes God will use strangers to help us before He does our family and friends.

He is our help. When He helps, He promises to do exceedingly above and beyond anything we can hope, ask or desire (Ephesians 3:20).

When He helps, though, it might seem like He is taking forever. Almost as if He isn't working on our behalf at all, but that is when our God is working the most.

God puts things together with exact timing, with the right people. His plan is always perfect and always what is best for us.

When it seems like His plan is taking forever, we have two choices: to panic and act like the sky is falling, scrambling to come up with a Plan B, C and D, or we can choose to surrender the situation to Him and trust Him.

That is what I am choosing to do today: to surrender and trust.

Which one will you choose?
