'Rest in Peace.'

If it's the thought that counts, what is the thought behind the phrase?

Have you experienced fitful sleep or witnessed one who has?

'Tossin' and Turnin' ranked at #1 on 1961 music charts, making recording artist Bobby Lewis a happy man. For those seeking a good night's rest, it's a bomb. Peaceful rest is a rare commodity. It begins this side of the grave.

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30 KJV)."

An eternal rest is prepared for God's faithful.

"And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them (Revelation 14:13 KJV)."
