Salvation
by David Rester

Fade me away, O God, my heavenly Father;
Ground my flesh into fine dust, my Father Abba;
And let Your four winds scatter it far from me,
That it would have no part of me.

For Father, You have revealed Yourself to me,
You have shown me the glory of Your holy, holy, holiness;
And I have fallen to the ground as a heap of putrid filth;
Knowing that even there, was no place for me, it was holy ground.

Yet You sent Your Lord to me, to stand above me.
He touched my face and raised my eyes to His;
At that moment of His touch, my fear and shame were gone;
And as my eyes met His, they became fixed upon His.

He took my hand in His, and raised me from the ground,
My eyes still locked in His, I saw love, yet also sorrow.
In Him was the same glory of holiness, as the Father;
With Him I was assured, I would never be the same.

I took my eyes off His for but a moment; to see You Father, gone;
And in that moment I began to fall; but He raised me up again.
He said, "Keep your eyes fixed on Me; for that will happen,
But when you fail to do so; I have your hand, I will not let you fall.

Then looking up to heaven, to You, our Father;
He said, "Father, he is mine, for You have given him to Me."
"Now fill him with Our Spirit; that his desires be as Mine:
To divinely love and serve; and do Your will, as done in and thru him.

This brings me once again, back to where I began, Father;
For You, Father had taken me back to where You began Your work in me.
Now I give you thanks and glory, knowing You will finish what You started in me.
And I give my life still to Him, who gave His life for me: Send Me, Amen.

From the day I responded to God's calling, accepting His love, by repenting, and accepting Jesus as Savior and Lord (all through Him, His love, and GRACE); He has continued to grow our relationship, revealing all He desires, for me to know and share. All glory and praise being my Father's---- GOD!
