Declaration of Glory
by PamFord Davis

My fellow Americans will celebrate Independence Day in July.

We honor the founding fathers, recognizing their patriotism and great sacrifices for freedom. They would be horrified to see how far we have drifted from the standards they risked their lives for. We must adhere to the truths found in The Declaration of Independence and Constitution.

Sadly, we have also failed to keep the commands of God.

I echo the words of scripture. With praise, we offer a declaration of glory!

"Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations. For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods (1 Chronicles 16:24-25 KJV)."

Hear the message of the heavens.

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun (Psalm 19:1-4 KJV)."

I declare no independence from the Lord. Without him, I would be nothing.
