Poof!
by PamFord Davis

Poof; the years go up in smoke!

Do your bones and muscles ache and burn with arthritic pain or Fibromyalgia?

Is a heart condition a daily concern?

Does your spouse or in home nurse need to remind you to eat and take medications?

Have you found yourself groaning as you try to get up from your favorite chair?

Are you mere skin and bones?

Is insomnia a frequent nighttime companion?

'Who? Who?'

"For my days vanish like smoke,
and my bones burn like a furnace.
My heart is afflicted, withered like grass;
I even forget to eat my food.
Because of the sound of my groaning,
my flesh sticks to my bones.
I am like a desert owl,
like an owl among the ruins.
I stay awake;
I am like a solitary bird on a roof (Psalm 102:3-7 HCS)."

As we age, we are afflicted with many ailments.

Give thanks; it's good for what ails you!

"Give thanks in everything,
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18 HCS)."
