Who Speaks for Thee
by Don Pedal

You are probably wondering, who is the one referred to here. He is the Creator of all life. He guides us in our life to know good from evil. He so loved us that He died on a Roman cross to pay for our sins. He is the only One, who rose from the dead and can offer us freedom from our sins and eternal life with Him forever.
You are probably wondering, who is the "thee" referred to here. He is referring to the unborn child who was denied life. Not a fetus or a tissue but a child created by God, coded by Him with DNA to be a person who could know, love and serve the Lord and enjoy eternal life with Him.
Who is the one addressed here? We are! Every one of us was created with an inborn sense of right and wrong. We are responsible with how we use it. We can ignore it and finally erase it from our lives. We can appear to acknowledge it but really suppress it --- especially when challenged. We can step up front and proclaim the truth that abortion is murder. "Thou shalt not kill," saith the Lord. Nowhere do we find any exceptions or qualifications to His law.
Our government cannot pass laws that violate God's laws. Any government that attempts to do that will suffer internal confusion, dissention and gradual moral decay. Look at our country today and see the effects around you.
We are preparing to elect a new president. Notice that there are those, running for office, who are advocating increasing funding to the abortion mills of America, and promising women the right to choose how to use her own body. Where do they get the authority to supersede the laws of our Creator?
Beware America! If we continue along this path, we will suffer the wrath of God. If you are a Christian, study the bible, the inerrant Word of God, and observe how He dealt with nations in the past.
We are one of the most blessed nations on earth. Every one of the great nations and empires of the past have passed on into history, but the Bible, the Word of God, lives on.
Look around you. Could we suffer the fate of lost empires --- Famine, drought, floods, tornados, disease, utter despair and confusion?
Does that mean that we are lost as a nation? That depends. What does our Lord have to say about that? " If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land ". (2 Chron. 7:14).

Does that mean that women who have had abortions are lost? What does the Bible have to say about that?
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". (1 John 1:9)
If we are humble, admit our sins, He will forgive us. To be forgiven, we must be very honest and not try to hide behind empty excuses, blame others or try to justify ourselves in any way.
We, as Christians, are called to be a voice speaking out for that beautiful unborn baby. Not a fetus, not a tissue, but a beautiful human being created by God in His image to love, honor and serve Him in this world and live forever with Him in the next.
Here are some suggestions for how we may effectively minister for the unborn. I am sure there are many more ideas also. Listen to the Spirit within you as you pray
As the quality of the tree is judged by its fruit so we can judge our leaders and the principles for which they stand.
Vote for candidates who have the courage and conviction to speak boldly for the unborn. If the abortion mills can advertize, then vote and petition that anti-abortionists have the right to present their beliefs also. Not to do so is actually discrimination in reverse. Support ministries and organizations that assist and minister to helpless young women. These are women who, through no fault of their own, have lost the support of their families, friends, and society in general. These are women who love and respect life and sincerely want to have their precious child, with a natural and healthy birth.
Now, where do you stand on this issue? You have three choices. One, you can agree and intend to do all you can to be that voice. Two, You can decide it is not for you and put the issue out of your mind. Three, you can decide to think about it. Usually, this results in procrastination with other issues and goals crowding out your opportunity to be that voice speaking out for the precious unborn.
Seize the moment --- Act Now!

As a senior citizen, I am dedicated to serving the Lord through sharing my experiences and insights with other believers. My primary focus is upon being an disciple of Jesus and, in being one, I can help others to find their spiritual way also.
