Encouragement
by PamFord Davis

Today's Christ followers are discouraged.

Exude encouragement.

Trending societal changes conflict with Bible standards and scoffers mock many who stay true to their Christian convictions. Yet, we should not be surprised. The Scripture reveals an increase in evil activity and perilous times in the last days.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power (2 Timothy 3:1-5a NKJ)."

Jesus understands.

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world (John 16:33 NKJ)."

We can be encouraged.

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23 NKJ)."
