In Spirit and in Truth
by Femi Onabanjo No more form but substance No more the letter but the Spirit For the letter killeth But the Spirit giveth life Not just with lips but now with heart Not only in word but also in deed Shall our worship, our love be In Spirit and in Truth No more hearers alone But doers as well Lord, make us true As we give ourselves to You Give us hearts free of deceit Open to Your probing Eyes For nothing is hid from Your sight Lord, give us hearts that fear You Make us men and women of faith Loving truth and hating evil Living as You want us to Lord, make us like You So we will lift our eyes to You As with raised hands we bring Our sacrifice of praise Then shall we see Your Face Femi is a Christian who desires to be fruitful for God. He wants to contribute to the growth of the Kingdom and to this end, it is his joy to freely share whatever the Lord lays on his heart for the benefit of others.
