Looking Skyward
by PamFord Davis

Was the sky 'really' falling?

No, it was only 1979 Skylab space debris.

My family was at the Pennsylvania home of my oldest sister, Donna. We gathered outside in her Edinboro back yard, ready to record the historic event with our 9 millimeter movie camera. Donna was the leading lady in the short clip. Her prop was an attention getter.

Don't ask me why. She waved a toilet plunger in front of the camera!

Donna's smile was magnetic. Her sense of humor was endearing.

May is a month of remembering. Donna was born in May and Donna died in May.

I look skyward. I am not looking for space junk. No, I'm looking for my redeemer.

Our full redemption is imminent.

"Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near (Luke 21:28 NKJ)."
