THE SWORD OF SILENCE
by Lewis E. Thomas Do you use the Sword of Silence to cut others to their soul? If God took a look at you what kind of story would unfold? Has someone offended poor o you and stirred up your wrath? As a result does ole Satan now have you walking down "his" evil path? Do you use the Sword of Silence to sever all their contact with you? Do you want to hold a grudge forever because they offended you? Did they offend you by "pointing out the truth" about your selfish and abusive ways? Causing you to bring out your Sword of Silence to punish them all their days? Did God appoint you as their Judge and executioner because you "never" offend? Do you get some "twisted pleasure" out of punishing a relative or a former friend? The Bible says "Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap!" You can doom your own soul to Hell with that "unforgiveness" that you keep! We are "commanded by God and Jesus" to love others and to always forgive! That is "NOT AN OPTION" but the way a true Christian "must live"! Better take your Sword of Silence and cast it into the sea! "And never pick it up again if Heaven you want to see!" I will close this rhyme with this Bible verse for the masses. Matthew 6: 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
