Grief is Like an Ocean ~
by Deborah Ann Belka

Grief is like an ocean,
it ebbs in and out
some days it's grueling
others it's a wipeout.

Grief is like a stream,
that's keeps flowing
some days it rushes
others it's forbearing.

Grief is like the wind,
that seems not to ease
some days it's gusty
others it's a breeze.

Grief is like a storm,
that rages on and on
some days it pours
others it's withdrawn.

Grief is a process,
that defies the span of time
for the loss of a loved one
lasts a whole lifetime!

My Grief Comfort Verses

Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress,
and my deliverer; my God, my strength,
in whom I will trust; my buckler,
and the horn of my salvation,
and my high tower.

Matthew 5:4

" Blessed are they that mourn:
for they shall be comforted."

Isaiah 41:10

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea,
I will help thee; yea, I will
uphold thee with the right hand
of my righteousness."

Philippians 4:7

"And the peace of God,
which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus."

Psalm 23:4

"Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me"

Revelation 21:4

"And God shall wipe away all tears
from their eyes; and there shall
be no more death, neither sorrow,
nor crying, neither shall there be
any more pain: for the former things
are passed away."

and so many more . . .
