Your Pastor
by PamFord Davis

Is your pastor trustworthy? Express your appreciation.

"My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.

The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.

For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts (Malachi 2:5-7 KJV)."

The LORD's messengers bear a great responsibility.

They speak God's word to congregations made up of both believers and the lost. Like the Apostle Paul, messengers also bear a deep burden.

"Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches (2 Corinthians 11:28 KJV)."

Pastors grow weary; they get discouraged. We can speak words of appreciation and encouragement.

What are we waiting for?
