Tucked In for the Night
by PamFord Davis

Do you remember being tucked in bed for the night?

Was your mother or father's face the last thing you saw before drifting off to sleep?

I recall soft feather pillows and flannel sheets during cold winter nights in Mycenae, New York.

As trains passed through the town of Kirkville, I heard distant sounds of their whistles and box cars rushing over the tracks.

When turning over in my bed, I became accustomed to the noise of squeaky springs under my mattress. Peering through the crack in the door left ajar, I viewed the comforting light at the top of the stairway.

Maybe you cherish memories of tucking in your children or grandchildren

Each night, the LORD waits to tuck you & me in.

What's that?

'Sweet dreams!'

Such comforting words are contained in His word

"When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet (Proverbs 3:24 NKJV)."
