Justice
by PamFord Davis

Very soon, America will elect a new president.

Registered voters have weighed the pros & cons of each candidate.

Our future hangs in the balance.

He or she will lead us for the next 4 years.

Who or what will guide them?

Do they view God as the final authority?

Will our Commander and Chief submit to Jehovah's marching orders or rebel against His directives?

"The king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord;
He turns it wherever He wishes.
Every man's way is right in his own eyes,
But the Lord weighs the hearts.
To do righteousness and justice
Is desired by the Lord more than sacrifice (Proverbs 21:1-3 NASB)."

Will justice prevail?

"He has told you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness,
And to walk humbly with your God (Micah 6:8 NASB)."

Oh, that our president would echo the words of Solomon

"Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king in place of my father David, yet I am but a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. Your servant is in the midst of Your people which You have chosen, a great people who are too many to be numbered or counted. So give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours (1 Kings 3:7-9 NASB)?"
