An Arrest
by Richard L. Provencher Tumbling backwards from a comfortable seat on a fallen bough allows me to quickly contemplate the possibility of a harsh arrest and I do land with a forceful thump. Thankfully only my hand feels sharp pain from a piercing branch. As I lay stretched on a carpet of moist leaves the blue above sifts through layers of autumn and Trembling Aspens twirl leaves that dance for me. Richard enjoys writing poems; many of which have been published in Print and Online. He and his wife, Esther are also co-authors of stories and a print novel.
