Prophetic Worship the New Sound
by Rochelle Arnold

“Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully (on the strings) with a loud and joyful sound.” (Psalm 33:3)

The Word of God speaks of a new sound and a new song that will spring forth from God’s people. It will flow from our spirit like rivers of living water. (John 7:38) This sound is fresh and straight from Heaven, a sound that will vibrate and permeate every fiber of our being and rush like a mighty stream into the surrounding atmosphere.

I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

 Isaiah 41:18

This new sound will cause people to be overwhelmed by the tangible presence of the Father’s love; saturated in the flow of the Holy Spirit.

And I heard a sound from Heaven like the roar of mighty ocean waves or the rolling of loud thunder. It was like the sound of many harpists playing together. This great choir sang a wonderful new song in front of the throne of God and before the four living beings and the twenty-four elders.

 Revelation 14

The Lord himself puts this new song in our mouth and it’s prophetic in nature. (Psalm 40) This song calls forth biblical truth and sets into motion healing, deliverance and freedom by the power of the Holy Spirit. “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24)

The prophetic worship allows for freedom and liberty to move by following the lead of the Holy Spirit. When this happens, the people’s needs are met and great miracles happen.

I have been ushering in this new sound and song within my own music ministry for some time. Others in the body of Christ have also been moving in this sound and prophetic worship for many years. I was inspired by the late Kim Clement (the singing prophet). Kim played the keyboard and prophesied with new sounds and new songs which ushered in a powerful move of God. He touched many lives and is one of many who ministered in prophetic praise and worship.

As those who worship the Lord in spirit and truth come together, a great unity and power comes forth. The Holy Spirit acts like a magnificent tuning fork creating divine sounds and new songs. These tones and frequencies are both soothing and creative to those present. It’s very exciting to hear the responses of those who are experiencing His presence and power in this supernaturally charged atmosphere. These new songs spring forth spontaneously and are inspired by Jesus. Let us relinquish our agendas, our schedules, and our fleshly control and allow the Holy Spirit to direct us into new levels of his glory! As we soak in prophetic worship, we will begin to go deeper into the Holy of Holies, into the inner courts of the Father and see miracles, signs and wonders follow.

Oh, sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth! Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!

Psalm 96
