Ready For heaven

LEN'S LINES -- A Little Religion On A Positive Note  by Len Granger

Ready For Heaven

Most people  I talk with over the years say they are going to heaven. However, are   they really prepared  to join the Lord Jesus Christ in His heavenly home?

We read in the Bible where the Lord tells us  what he is doing for us in heaven, John 14:2, " In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you."

The Lord was speaking and comforting His disciples and believers in the years to follow the Lord's return to Heaven.  Yes, as  Christians believing in our living, gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the Lord has assured us of a place in Heaven.

Our Lord was also speaking to  his disciples  and non-believers when the Lord tells us in John 14:6, " I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the father but by me."

Our Lord holds the doors open to heaven for  those that  put their trust, hope, and faith in  Jesus  Christ as the son of God and have repented of their sins.  When the Lord opens his arms and puts them around us,  we have a new life and will enter the doors of heaven.

As we serve the Lord in our earthly life,  let us walk in the Lord's footsteps.   When we are called home, according the  Lord's timetable,  let us pray we will hear the Lord say,    " Well done good and faithful servant."

The eternal life in heaven,  for the Lord's believers,  we cannot  compare to anything we have here on this sinful earth.   No words can describe the mansion with rooms the Lord has prepared for us.

Trust we will all take the time to attend the church of our choice this Sunday as we worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    God Bless America
