The laying of your core belief foundation is critical to the way you live your daily life.  Believing that the Bible is the undeniable Word of God and our source on handling life’s problems is where you start.  Understanding some basic truths are helpful in how you handle those problems. 

Being born into a sinful world allows everything associated with sin to access our lives.  For example… sickness, disease, illness, plagues, pestilence and troubles of all kinds are part of living in a sinful world.  I call them attacks because most of the time that is what they are!  Attacks in the natural are most often based in the supernatural realm. 

Romans 5:12 “Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, (sickness, disease) and death through sin, so death spread to all people [no one being able to stop it or escape its power], because they all sinned.” They came into the world by way of sin. 

Attacks are from the devil and all have an evil intent and purpose, that is to demolish and destroy your life!  To fill you with fear and doubt which creates barricades and obstacles to your faith and belief system.  One of the side effects is to draw your attention away from helping and loving others and to focus your attention on you and your problems.  The end result is to limit your Christian effectiveness and influence on your surroundings, friends and family.

These attacks almost always follow your willingness to seek a higher level and closer relationship with Father God.  As God calls you higher in Him you encounter a new level of problems and troubles along the way, “a new level, a new devil”.  

These attacks can take on the characteristics and symptoms of sickness and disease.  Meant to strike fear in your mind and panic in your spirit.  A pain in your chest, a terrible back ache, foot or leg pains that can be crippling, a severe headache can all be part of these attacks. 

I’m not saying that they are to be ignored and certainly if anything persists or if it has reoccurred or is a family trait then by all means see your doctor.  What I am saying is saying a prayer to the great Jehovah Rapha, (God our healer), is always a great starting point.

From my own personal experiences I can tell you that there has been multiple times when I prayed about the attacks, some pain, stiffness and aches and God answered my prayers and they stopped.  No pills, no trips to the ER and no panic searches on the web! 

I took authority given me by Jesus over the powers of darkness by declaring out loud one of the most powerful scriptures in the Bible, Matthew 16:19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”  Left unchecked and unchallenged these attacks can become real diseases/sicknesses and destroy you! 

Increase your understanding and don’t let the evil one run you over.  You have a choice and His name is Jesus!
