Thinking of continuing your education or making a career change?

Maybe you have secret aspirations.

We rub elbows with all kinds of people daily. Some aspire to greatness; wishing to wield power.

True greatness comes through humility.

“But Jesus called them to Himself and said, ‘You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.  And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave—  just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many (Matthew 20:25-28 NKJV).”

There are those who have aspirations of achieving notoriety on a global scale.

When writing to the Thessalonian church, Apostle Paul spoke of aspirations. He encouraged his brethren to aspire to living a quiet life.

“But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another; and indeed you do so toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brethren, that you increase more and more; that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing (1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 NKJV).”
