GOD-TRACKING IS RESTING IN HIS FOREKNOWLEDGE OF THE FINAL SCORE
by Dudley Anderson GodTracker 636 14 July 2017 GOD-TRACKING IS RESTING IN HIS FOREKNOWLEDGE OF THE FINAL SCORE Romans 8:29 Welcome to new subscribers of GodTracker. This e-devotional, published at godtracker.co.uk and via several online blogs, enjoys a vast readership. The concept of God-tracking developed from a radio show I once produced called, On Track. This show was broadcast across central-southern Africa via FM, shortwave and the Internet. For many years it enjoyed a listenership in the millions. It was back in 2003 when a listener of On Track asked me to send him a hardcopy of the content of the show by e-mail that e-devotional, GodTracker was born. God-tracking has at its core the concept of seeking and tracking the plans of God for our lives. The Bible makes it clear that God does have a plan for each of us and that we are called according to his purposes. In Proverbs, we are told to acknowledge the Lord in all our ways and so to trust him to direct our paths, that is, or our life tracks! When we acknowledge God, we are recognising his knowledge of us and his foreknowledge of our futures. I watched Joanna Konta play Simona Halep in the 2017 Wimbledon quarterfinals. What a great match! It was match point and Konta was poised to serve. Great serve! Good backhand return by Halep but after a very short rally, Halep put the ball into the net. Konta had won the match! I was so enthralled with that last rally I rewound the show to Konta’s last serve. There she was again, poised to serve for the match. However, it dawned on me that I now knew she would win. I paused my TV. Suddenly I realised the meaning of the scripture that says, “For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son.” The Lord knows all about you. He knows your past, your present and he has foreknowledge of your future. This means that he is already in your tomorrow preparing your paths in life. As you stand poised to serve for the match, understand this, your Lord already knows the final score. Even though you still need to play that final shot, Jesus is already on the podium with you, raising the trophy. So, fix your eyes on Jesus, author of your faith. Set your mind on things above not on earthly things, where God has already traced your track. Therefore, rise up today and play with all your might! In Jesus, the score is already game, set and match! God-tracking is resting in his foreknowledge of the final score. So, I place my trust in your foreknowledge and walk in the truth that you know the plans you have for me.
