Not a Mind Reader
by PamFord Davis

I’m not a mind reader. I’m not capable of knowing what a person is thinking or what they feel deep inside.

The LORD knows.

“The fool has said in his heart,
There is no God.’
They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity;
There is none who does good.

God looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
Every one of them has turned aside;
They have together become corrupt;
There is none who does good,
No, not one (Psalm 53:1-3 NKJV).”

Many might not be bold enough to say there is no God; yet, inwardly they voice unbelief.

They do not ‘know’ God.

To know Him, we must first trust Him.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV).”

The Lord Jesus directs our paths best because He is the way…

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me (John 14:6 NKJV).”

Through Jesus, we come to know and experience the fullness of God.

“For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross (Colossians 1:19-20 NKJV).”

Peace…
