I Am More Than A Conquer
by Steve Countryman

Romans 8:37-39 37” In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

To some Christians picturing themselves as more than conquers becomes a difficult task.  In a world where entitlements and victim mentalities are the norm those with opposing views are made fun of and bullied.  It’s hard to remember that… Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.”  For we are to love the sinner but HATE their sin not justify it!

Too often those who bully us in the supernatural get away with it unscathed!  We blame the person instead of the demonic influence behind the attacks.  A harsh word, a partial truth, a lie, something said during a argument or a hasty response sticks with us as we play it over and over again in our mind.

Our past mistakes are often handled the same way.  We beat ourselves up for making the same sinful mistakes over and over again as the enemy keeps rubbing our faces in it!  Saying things like “You’ll never be able to stop.”  “You’re a worthless and disgusting Christian”  “You hypocrite!”  “Why try to quit when you know that you’ll just do it again tomorrow.”  Using lies and fear to keep you trapped is his plan.

Stop allowing the bully to spiritually beat you up!  You are more than a survivor, you are more than an over-comer for you are more than a conquer!  Stop empowering the bully by agreeing with him.  Quit believing his lies for the Devil is the father of all lies.  Satan uses the weakness of your past failures and mistakes to tempt you into sinning again.  2Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

The Word is your best weapon.  Believing in what it says is where you start.  For if the Word of God is true then ALL the words of the evil one are lies!  He hates it when you know the Word and use it against him.  There is tremendous power in the spoken and declared Word of God!  For lies can’t argue there position against the TRUTH.  It’s like those people who repeat the lies they hear as being gospel.  In their minds if they say it over and over again then it has to be true!?  That’s a good definition of delusional!

Once you believe the lies then you must justify them.  From there being stuck in your sin is where you stay unless you are willing to accept the TRUTH.  Revelation is only revelation to those who will accept it as revelation!  “For you shall know the TRUTH and the TRUTH will set you free!”   You are more than a conquer for… 1 John 4:4 “Because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
