GOD-TRACKING IS PRAISING GOD IN THE HALLWAY

I immediately remembered what the scriptures say in Revelation. John the Apostle was given messages to the 7 churches of Asia Minor. To the church of Philadelphia, he was told to write that what Christ opens no man can shut and what he shuts no man can open. Then he went on to say that God himself had placed before the Philadelphians an open door. God-tracking is all about acknowledging God in all our ways and seeking him by faith. If we do this then God will lead us according to his plans for our lives. In the process of tracking God’s plans, we often encounter so called, “doors” of opportunity. In other words, we’re presented with options to walk through new doors in life as God gives us opportunity. Sometimes these doors are way open and all we need do is step on in. However, sometimes we find ourselves in a large palatial hallway with several doors before us (or opportunities), all closed. It is here that we need to pause before grabbing the first available door handle and thrusting the door open, on our own initiative. It is here that we need to wait on God and wait for God to orchestrate the circumstances of our lives to fall in line with his plans, before a new door opens to us. It’s in this waiting that we need to patiently praise God and submit to his will. So, while you’re waiting for God to open that door, praise him in the hallway!
