Facing My Fears
by PamFord Davis

Why should I get discouraged? What do I have to fear?

God is my source of encouragement.

“Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10 NKJV).”

He extends His hand to me.

“For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand,
Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you (Isaiah 41:13 NKJV).”

He is a present help. I am protected by His hand.

Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.  And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.  My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one (John 10-27-30 NKJV).”

I have no cause to fear.

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you (Isaiah 43:1b-2 NKJV).”
