Paddlers tremble in moments

of rainbow colours

as anxious hearts inhale

autumn's sunset

it's the silence -- and beauty:

a temporary colour-code

of reflections -- from golden to

orange bathing

carried aloft on October

wings. Our  

canoe joins in spirited flight.
