YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE
Freelance writer Lupie Riley

Thought: This title has a familiarity to a song by Ray Charles. The lyrics tell us to keep our chin (head) up high as we walk through the storms of life. Through wind and rain and broken dreams we are to walk with hope in our hearts that we will never walk alone. It reminds me of another famous quote from “Footsteps of Jesus” where only one set of prints were found in the sand and that was the time Jesus carried us.

God’s promise to his adopted children through the new birth is that he will never leave us alone (Heb. 13:5). If we feel we are alone it’s only because we are not sensitive to his presence in our heart. We need Jesus to be there when the storms of life fall upon us. He is our strength, comfort, peace and hope.

The song goes on to say walk on, walk on, with hope in our heart and we’ll never walk alone. To the Christian that hope is found in a personal relationship with Jesus. Ask him into your life today.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for the hope that I have in Jesus that you will never leave me nor forsake me. I can have the full assurance that you will be there no matter what the circumstances are in my life. Amen

Verse: Phill. 4:13 (put this to memory) “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
