Eleventh Hour Action For Breakthrough
by Ngozi Nwoke

What can you possibly do at this time of the year to provoke divine intervention? The year seems to be rounding up and you are yet to receive your heart desire from God, don't worry I have good news for you. God, who created the entire world and everything within it in six days, is able to meet your needs even now. This article emphasizes on what action to take at this eleventh-hour for your breakthrough.

Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Psalms 103:1-2 (NKJV).

Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him - Psalms 67:5-7 (NKJV).

Many people have great expectation for this year and are yet to see the fulfillment of them. Some of them have given up and are offended in God, murmured and complained. This attitude will not get your desired blessing; instead it will complicate matters for you. However, there are others who are still expectant and will hold on to the end. They are persuaded that God is able to fulfill His word in their lives (Romans 4:19-21). Are you one of these latter people?

What to do at this time?

1. Count your blessings and name them one by one

As the song writer Johnson Oatman stated, you need to count your blessings and name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done. People focus on one or two things they desire from the Lord and then, forget the ones God has been doing for them daily and the additions He added without their asking for them. They are sad and depressed, yet they are heavily blessed but they can't see it.

You must not forget the benefits from the Lord (Psalm 103: 1-3). When you count your blessing and name them one by one you will be ashamed at your anger towards God for not doing the one thing you have been asking for. You will see the faithfulness of God and even your faith will come up, assuring you that the ones yet to come will surely come. David used it to pull down the head of Goliath. He remembered how God helped him to kill a bear and a lion and was certain that God will help him to kill Goliath (1 Samuel 17:33-51). Counting your blessings also will provoke praise unto God.

2. Praise God.

Praise unto God amongst other things is an expression of one's faith in the Lord. Praises in the midst of a challenge is an act of faith in the Almighty, you are declaring how big and powerful God is and how small and insignificant that challenge is compared to God. It has been proven with diverse testimonies that praising God provokes divine intervention. The Israelites engaged it and God defeated their enemies for them (2 Chronicles 20:22). Abraham was giving glory to God for the fulfillment of God's promise of a son and God gave them Isaac. Praise causes the earth to yield her increase and provokes God's blessings on the individual (Psalm 67:5-7).

In conclusion, worrying and getting angry with God has never solved any problem. Choose to remind yourself of the goodness of the Lord in your life and give Him praise. The desires of your heart can be delivered on the platform of praise. Make praise a lifestyle and you will see what God will do in your life the remaining days of this year. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and give God praise. Hallelujah!
