Watching the Master
by PamFord Davis

An apprentice watches the master; in admiration and awe, they watch and learn.

I must watch the Master; He is at work when I pray.

“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18 KJV).”

Will Pam persevere?

Waiting is never easy. Yet, Jesus expects me to persevere.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him (Matthew 7:7-11 KJV)?”

Through intercession, I will keep asking.

There are so many in need of God’s deliverance. Multitudes walk in spiritual darkness; Jesus saves.

Family and friends battle sickness and disease; He works miracles.

Our nation has gone astray; He can heal our land.

The Master is at work; I will watch and wait…
